[2024-1] Application for Presentation and Examination for the Master’s (Doctoral) Thesis

1. Applicant Qualification

  1) [Common] Applicant must pass both qualification exam and foreign language proficiency test.

                       (* Scheduled date of announcement of qualification exam results : Apr. 5.(Fri) 10:00~)

  2) [For Master's] Applicant who are scheduled to complete Master's course in August of 2024 must acquire required credits for graduation.

  3) [For Doctoral] Applicant must complete the preliminary exam and submit a copy of thesis published in Academic journals with KCI index or SSCI index.

2. Application Period: Until 2024. Apr. 9.(Tue), 16:00 (Punctuality)

3. Required Documents for Application (Please sign the document and visit the office to submit it)

  1) Request Form (* attached; Only typing will be accepted)

  2) Pledge Statement for Research Ethics (*Attached)

  3) Examination Fees : (Master) 100,000 KRW / (Doctoral) 300,000 KRW (ONLY CASH)

  4) (Only For Doctoral) A Copies of Cover Letter

  5) (Only For Doctoral) A Copy of Thesis published in Academic Journals

4. Procedure before Oral Presentation and Exam

  1) One copies of the Master’s (Doctoral) dissertation and Turnitin report* for checking plagiarism should be submitted to GSIS office until 2024.Apr.26.(Fri).

     (* Refer to more specific information below)

  2) Applicant must deliver their thesis and some documents below to all their committee members by 2024.Apr.26.(Fri).

       (Master's) (1) Three copies of the Master’s dissertation and

                        (2) Turnitin report should be submitted to the members of the supervisory committee individually.

       (Doctoral) (1) Five copies of the Doctoral dissertation,

                        (2) C.V. and

                        (3) Turnitin report should be submitted to the members of the supervisory committee individually.

※ Results of Plagiarism(Turnitin report and full text) : less than 20%

5. The supervisory committee members will be notified on GSIS website in 2024.Apr.19.(Fri).

6. The 1st examination (Oral Examination)

  1) Date for Presenatation of Thesis : 2024. May. 10.(Fri).

  2) Only for students who are approved can present their thesis.

7. Note

  1) Please prepare your thesis summary for attendees on presentation date.

  2) Aftrer the first exam, you should arrange the schedule of next exam with your advisor individually.

  3) Report of Examination should be submitted until 2024.Jun.28.(Fri) 16:00 at GSIS office.

  4) The final version of your thesis should be submitted until 2024.Jul.5.(Fri) 17:00 at GSIS office.

1. 제출자격

  1) [공통] 학위청구자격시험 및 외국어능력시험에 합격한 자 (* 학위청구자격시험 결과 발표 예정일 : 2024. 4. 5.(금) 10:00~)

  2) [석사과정] 2024학년도 8월 수료예정자는 수료에 필요한 소정의 학점을 취득하여야 함

  3) [박사과정] 박사논문심사청구자의 경우 반드시 예비 발표를 통과하고 등재 및 그 이상으로 인정받는 학술지

      (KCI, SSCI)에 1편 이상 게재된 논문별쇄본 1부를 제출하여야 함

2. 서류 제출기간 : 2024. 4. 9.(화), 16:00까지 (기한엄수)

3. 필요서류 (*서명 필수, 방문제출)

  1) 학위청구논문 심사요구서 1부 (석.박사 공통; 첨부파일; 타이핑하여 제출; 수기작성 불가)

  2) 연구윤리준수 서약서 1부 (석.박사 공통; 첨부파일)

  3) 심사료 : 석사 100,000원, 박사 300,000원 (행정실로 제출, 현금만 수납 가능)

  4) 이력서 1부 (박사에 한함, 본부 제출용 1부)

  5) 학술지 게재한 논문별쇄본 1부 (박사에 한함)

4. 공개발표 전 필수 절차

  1) 2024. 4. 26.(금)까지 심사용 제본 논문 및 Turnitin보고서 제출

     가. 행정실로 제본 논문 1부, Turnitin 보고서 1부 제출

     나. 심사위원 교수님께 제본논문 개별적으로 전달 (석사: 3인, 박사: 5인)

     다. 박사심사요구자는 이력서 1부, 제본논문 1권씩 개별 심사위원께 전달

     라. 논문 표절방지프로그램 결과물(Turnitin 보고서 및 전문)도 개별 심사위원께 전달

      (* 표절률 기준 : 20% 미만)

5. 심사위원 위촉 및 심사위원 공지 : 2024. 4. 19.(금) 공지사항 게시판 게시 예정

6. 공개발표(1차 심사) Oral Presentation (The 1st examination)

  1) 공개발표일: 2024. 5. 10.(금)

  2) 발표 대상자 : 지도교수님께 발표 가능 확인받은 자에 한함 (*별도 승인 절차 없음)

  3) 박사예비발표자 및 심사요구자 수가 많을 경우, 석·박사 발표일 구분 예정

7. 참고 사항 Note

  1) 학위논문 발표 당일 ppt 자료 및 참관자 자료 준비

  2) 1차 공개발표 이후 2차 및 3차 심사는 심사자와 심사위원이 개별적으로 일정을 계획하고 심사받음

  3) 논문심사 결과보고서 제출 → 2024. 6. 28.(금) 16:00 까지 국제전문대학원 행정실로 제출(기간엄수)

  4) 최종인준 날인 논문 제출 → 2024. 7. 5.(금) 17:00 까지 국제전문대학원 행정실로 제출(기간엄수)

   양식에 맞지 않으면 도서관에서 재인쇄를 요구할 수 있습니다.
