Change in review questions for International and Area Studies Qualifying Exam (Prof. Richard Shannon).
Regarding Prof. Richard Shannon's upcoming qualifying exam on Area Studies and International Cooperation (Introduction to International and Area Studies), two of the review questions are changed to the following.
Review Question 16 (on international political economy) is shortened and changed to the following:
16. In international political economy (IPE), regarding economic institutions, briefly discuss only two of the following: 1) the role of states, 2) the role of multinational institutions, and/or 3) the role of the Bretton Woods institutions.
Review Question 19 is changed to the following:
19. How do theories in AS and IR compare (Chansa-Ngavej and Lee)? What is the “global village” concept and how are anthropologists working to help local peoples affected by global issues and economics? [Note: the only change in this question is "What do theories in AS and IR compare" (in the previous Question 19) is changed to "How do theories in AS and IR compare"].
